Cathy focuses her practice on commercial litigation and criminal defense. She practices in state and federal court and at the trial and appellate level.
Cathy joined Sher Tremonte in 2021, following a two-year clerkship with the Hon. Kathleen M. Williams of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to her clerkship, Cathy worked as an associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and at Hogan Lovells LLP, where she represented clients in civil and criminal proceedings as well as in internal investigations, including investigations into alleged internet fraud and related-party transactions by a non-profit.
Cathy also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing indigent criminal defendants. Cathy’s clients and colleagues appreciate her diligence, dedication, compassion, and ability to distill complex facts and legal issues into clear and concise arguments.
During law school, Cathy interned at the Legal Aid Society, where she represented non-citizens facing deportation proceedings. She also served as a competing member of the Immigration Law Moot Court and a publishing member of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
