Justine A. Harris, top white collar criminal defense attorney, joins Sher Tremonte LLP as partner. Noam Biale, Michael Gibaldi join Sher Tremonte LLP as Associates.
Justine A. Harris, Partner
A respected trial lawyer, Ms. Harris brings 20 years of experience to Sher Tremonte LLP. Known for her vigorous and meticulous advocacy, and her unwavering dedication to her clients, Ms. Harris represents individuals and companies in criminal and white-collar matters, as well as complex civil and regulatory proceedings, and has a breadth of experience on a variety of financial and legal issues. Prior to joining Sher Tremonte LLP, Ms. Harris was a partner at Colson & Harris LLP, a firm she co-founded. From 2001 to 2010, Ms. Harris was an assistant federal defender at the Federal Defenders’ office for the Eastern District of New York, where she was lead counsel on hundreds of criminal cases in federal court. Previously, she was an associate at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP.
Ms. Harris is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College. She clerked for the Hon. Eugene H. Nickerson in the Eastern District of New York.
Noam Biale, Associate/Pro Bono Coordinator
Mr. Biale’s practice focuses on criminal defense, appellate advocacy, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Biale also serves as Sher Tremonte’s Pro Bono Coordinator and supports the firm’s substantial commitment to representing pro bono clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Biale clerked for the Hon. Gerard E. Lynch on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Hon. Allyne R. Ross in the Eastern District of New York. He was also a law fellow at the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama.
Mr. Biale graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley and received his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar.
Michael Gibaldi, Associate
Mr. Gibaldi’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, criminal defense, and regulatory enforcement.
Prior to joining Sher Tremonte LLP, Mr. Gibaldi was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, and also worked as a volunteer Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Gibaldi graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School. He clerked for the Hon. Joseph F. Bianco in the Eastern District of New York and the Hon. Fernande R.V. Duffly on the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.
