Courtney’s practice focuses on criminal defense and complex commercial cases in state and federal court. She also represents corporate and individual clients in connection with internal investigations and regulatory proceedings.
Prior to joining Sher Tremonte, Courtney was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where her practice focused on internal investigations, federal monitorships, and commercial litigation and arbitration. Courtney also devotes substantial time to pro bono matters, particularly matters involving public housing and criminal defense.
During law school, Courtney was an intern for the civil division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. She was also a member of the Civil Rights and Racial Justice Clinic, where she represented a client in Title VII mediation proceedings and participated in a civil rights investigation of a jail facility.
