Marie Kazibwe is a paralegal at Sher Tremonte, where she supports the firm’s attorneys on criminal and civil matters.

Before joining the firm, Marie studied both Sociology and American Studies at Tufts University, culminating in a senior thesis examining how Black women who kill their abusers narrativize their acts of self-defense in pursuit of clemency.

After graduating, Marie worked as a paralegal at the public defender’s office where she strengthened her passion for criminal defense lawyering.
