Claire’s practice focuses on criminal defense and complex civil litigation.

Prior to joining Sher Tremonte, Claire served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sidney R. Thomas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Paul A. Engelmayer of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

As a student attorney at Yale Law School, Claire represented veterans in discharge upgrade and service-connected disability proceedings, and provided legal assistance to terminally ill patients. She also interned for Protect Democracy and a boutique litigation firm, where she worked on cases to increase government transparency. While a student attorney with New Mexico Legal Aid, Claire represented clients in tribal and state courts, in both housing and child custody matters. Between college and law school, Claire worked in speechwriting, farming, and ranching.
