Sam focuses on complex commercial litigation and criminal defense matters in both state and federal court.
Before joining Sher Tremonte, Sam was a law clerk at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Sam has assisted attorneys who have represented corporate clients in civil proceedings at both the trial and appellate levels, including large federal class actions brought under state and federal antitrust laws. Sam has also devoted substantial time to pro bono matters, particularly matters on behalf of indigent criminal defendants. Sam worked with various teams that obtained release for defendant in D.C. court, won vacatur of convictions at the Maryland Court of Appeals, and succeeded in reversing sentencing enhancements at the U.S. Supreme Court.
