Sher Tremonte Helps Dairus Griffiths Regain Ownership of His Brooklyn Home
On May 27, 2021, Dairus Griffiths entered into a confidential settlement agreement with August West Development LLC, pursuant to which Mr. Griffiths regained ownership of his longtime family home at 650 Halsey Street in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn. The transaction closed on July 20, 2021.
Two years ago, attorneys Theresa Trzaskoma, Justin J. Gunnell and Noam Biale of Sher Tremonte LLP (along with former associate Tasha Branford) began representing Mr. Griffiths pro bono and obtained a stay of eviction while Mr. Griffiths appealed the default judgment that had been entered against him.
Mr. Griffiths is pleased he was able to amicably and fairly resolve his dispute with August West on terms that allow him to keep his family home.
The settlement would not have been possible without the able assistance of real estate attorney Phyllis Kamysek of Phyllis Marie Kamysek, PLLC.
